Stock Up at the Imperial Farmers Market

To market, to market to buy fresh local produce! Where? The Imperial Farmers Market in Sugar Land.

Imperial residents live within walking and biking distance of the longest running farmers market in Sugar Land. It’s been running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays — rain or shine — all year round for the past 11 years.

Currently located at the Imperial Park Recreation Center, 234 Matlage Way, the market is a magnet for people who come out to browse the booths while enjoying live music, free samples, food trucks, cooking demonstrations and more.

Some of the products you will find include fruits and veggies grown by local farmers, grass-fed meats, free-range chicken and eggs, honey produced by local bees, small-batch baked goods, artisanal foods, tamales, Indian food, coffee, spices, oils, vinegars, desserts, art, jewelry and more. We suggest getting up early — those tamales go fast!

Part of the fun is getting to know the vendors, many of whom have been selling their wares at the market from the beginning. And there are always new vendors — discovering them is a great reason to shop every Saturday.

Did we mention the market is pet-friendly? You could pet pooches all day long. Other four-legged visitors include cats and even ferrets.

If you haven’t paid the Imperial Farmers Market a visit, make plans to do so. While you're there, hop on over to Imperial to learn how you can make your home with us.
