Fill Up on October Fun at Imperial

When it comes to fun, there’s no place like Imperial. Both the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center and Constellation Field are located within our community. That means residents live within walking distance of the many exciting events being hosted this month. Don’t live in Imperial yet? Here are the activities you won’t want to miss.

Something icky, slimy and gooey has made its way into the museum and children will have a ball trying to find it. Each week features a different Halloween-themed event including opportunities to build monsters, create crazy concoctions, enjoy a magic show, meet Vampirina and more.

Textoberfest

The Sugar Land Skeeters are rolling out the barrel — several in fact — and fans are sure to have a real good time. The event features beer and liquor tastings from Texas-based breweries and distilleries, on-field batting practice, food trucks, an opportunity for kids to run the bases and an appearance from mascot Swatson. The Memorial Hermann Play Land as well as the splash pad will be open throughout the event. The VIP package includes early entrance, exclusive on-field batting practice and an all-you-can eat buffet.

Centerfield Cinema

Constellation Field
5:30 p.m. Sat., Oct. 23
$10 advance, $12 at the gate, free for ages 3 and under

Load up blankets, lawn chairs and the family for a theater outing you won’t forget. Sit in the outfield or the main seating bowl for a showing of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Advance tickets: $10 adults, $7 ages 4-12 free for ages 3 and under.
Day-of tickets: $15 adults, $10 ages 4-12, free for 3 and under

For those wanting to show off their creative costumes a contest will be held at 4:30 p.m. The entrance fee for the contest is $5. Categories include adults, kids and groups (two-or-more people). Concession stands will be open for hungry ghosts and goblins.
