Satisfy Your Hunger at Sugar Land Town Square

Don’t know what to cook but not sure where to eat? You could spend an hour discussing it with your family or you could just head out to Sugar Land Town Square. There are plenty of choices and you won’t have to drive all over town. As a bonus you can get some shopping done before you choose. Here are some of our resident’s favorite restaurants:

Breakfast and Brunch

There’s a Starbucks if you just want coffee, but if you’re hankering for more, Jupiter Pizza & Waffles Co. is a Sugar Land favorite. Locally owned, the dining spot offers savory and sweet Belgian waffles, omelets, skillet breakfasts and other yummy options. As the name suggests, they also do pizza so stop by for lunch and dinner. Other options for your dining pleasure include The Toasted Yolk Café, Sweet Paris Creperie & Caféand The Burning Pear.

Fast Casual

When you are on a schedule, fast casual restaurants can appease your hunger without having to wait for a table. If you are in the mood for a sandwich, Jimmy John’s can make you everything from a tuna sandwich to an East Coast Italian. For big appetites, The J.J. Gargantuan is a favorite. Chipotle allows you to build your own Mexican entre with healthy ingredients such as barbacoa, chicken, black beans, cilantro rice and more. If you are in the mood for kabobs or Moroccan chicken, Zoës Kitchen offers a delightful take on Greek and Mediterranean food.

Asian

Another locally owned favorite is Guru Burgers & Bowls. Offering tasty burgers and Asian inspired bowls, the restaurant is the perfect place for families with radically different tastes. Japaneiro’s Sushi Bistro & Latin Grill has been voted best sushi in Sugar Land for 17 years in a row. It’s also one of the few places you can go for empanadas followed by sashimi. For great Chinese food, P.F Chang’s offers everything from dim sum to a variety of Asian entrees.

Seafood

When only fish will do, there’s Fish City Grill. Modeled on everyone’s favorite seafood joint, the restaurant offers everything from oysters on the half shell and catfish to shrimp tacos and snow crab. There’s also an extensive cocktail and wine list.

Mexican

Escalante’s is the favorite spot for those who enjoy yummy Mexican food served al fresco. The wraparound patio is a great place to people watch and enjoy a craft margarita. Favorite menu items include Pescado Frescoor, Carne Asada Escalante and Fajita Poblano.

Indian

Indian food is now an option with the opening of Mahesh’s Kitchen. Offering a fusion of Indian favorites and Texas home cooking, the restaurant serves up vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Pubs and Gastropubs

Sometimes what you really want is to go somewhere where everyone knows your name. A place like Baker St. Pub & Grill. A proper British pub, it serves up fish and chips, Shepard’s Pie, burgers and bread pudding along with draft beer, cocktails and wine. Bar Louie is another favorite watering hole. Known for signature martinis, house cocktails, beer and wine, it also offers tasty bar bites and delicious burgers. Flying Saucer is a quirky bar serving up an astounding selection of beers.

All American

State Fair Kitchen & Bar is a Houston favorite that you don’t have to drive into Houston for. There’s plenty of outdoor seating and lots of Cajun food on the menu. Stop by for N’awlins BBQ Shrimp, Tails & Grits, H-Town Hot Fried Chicken or a “Texas Red” Chili Cheeseburger. Vino & Vinyl is a wine bistro where the food is good, the wine is better and the nostalgic music played on vinyl is outstanding.

Fine Dining

For a special night, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille boasts an extraordinary line-up of food. Prime USDA-aged steaks, lobster tails and customized additions are paired with handcrafted cocktails and a sophisticated atmosphere. The Rouxpour takes you to New Orleans with award-winning gumbo, chargrilled oysters and more.

Dessert

What’s dinner without dessert? You could have it at the restaurant or you could walk around the square while enjoying a sweet treat. The Sweet Boutique Bakery is a great place to stop for cupcakes, cake pops and macrons. Kilwins will satisfy your craving for ice cream or candy (tip: get the fudge).
