The Johnson Development Corp. takes home another haul of GHBA PRISM awards

THE JOHNSON DEVELOPMENT CORP. TAKES HOME ANOTHER HAUL OF GHBA PRISM AWARDS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

HOUSTON, TX (October 14, 2014) - The Johnson Development Corp., which manages more top-selling master-planned communities than any other developer in the nation, once again was the big winner at the Greater Houston Builders Association 2014 PRISM Awards, taking home 13 awards including Master-Planned Community of Year.

PRISM Awards were presented to Johnson Development for Master-Planned Community of the Year and Billboard of the Year for Cross Creek Ranch, Best Radio Commercial and Best Billboard for an Event/Promotion for Woodforest, and Best Recreation Center and Best Print Ad for Riverstone.

This marks the second year for Cross Creek Ranch to win a PRISM Award as Houston’s Master-Planned Community of the Year, following up on its first community-of-the-year award in 2012.

In the Developer category, Johnson Development received the Grand PRISM Award for its month-long citywide tour of homes, billed as Houston’s largest home tour.  The home tour also won PRISM awards for Best Internet Marketing Campaign and Best Direct-Mail Piece.

Christen Johnson of Johnson Development also was recognized as GHBA’s Marketing Director of the Year.

“We’re very fortunate to have a collection of the industry’s best and brightest dedicated to developing the nation’s finest master-planned communities, ” says Larry Johnson, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Johnson Development Corp.

Topping off the evening, Johnson Development’s Doug Goff presented the GHBA’s first Trailblazer Award to his wife Susie, Johnson Development’s director of marketing and fun, in recognition of her creative contributions to the industry.

Among her many career accomplishments, Susie introduced Houston’s first custom home model collection and was the brainchild of Cornfused, a fall corn maze that sprouted on 12 acres in Johnson Development’s master-planned community of Sienna Plantation.  She also was instrumental in the launch of the Sugar Land Grand Wine & Food Affair, the Houston-area’s first multi-day wine festival.

“I’ve presented many of awards in my career, but presenting Susie with this recognition was a moment I’ll cherish for a lifetime,” says Goff.  “The award is quite fitting as she certainly has blazed a path for women in our industry.”
